Tutorial: New Year's Eve Inspired Look

by - 3:09 PM

New Year's is right around the corner so I figured I would do a New Year's eve inspired
look using my new Morphe 35P pallete.  This look was inspired by a Patrick Starr look from last year that I loved.

I tried recording my video in a different setting so there are a few clips I didn't get like the one of me blending in my concealer and applying my blush.  My eyeliner and eyelashes are usually done off camera because honestly I am not perfect at either of them yet so it requires me to focus. AKA be up close and personal with my mirror. You never realize how many weird faces you really make during makeup application until you have to edit a full video of yourself. Yes, the fish face really does help with contouring. Ha ha!

I plan on doing a separate review of the Morphe palettes one day but they have excellent pigmentation and are great eyeshadow palettes for women of color.  I always use a NYX jumbo pencil as my base so the colors usually stand out either way.

I am currently have dry skin instead of oily skin so my routine is changing, but I will make a video showing my updated routine once I am through trying some things out. Right now I am looking for a primer  that is hydrating to my skin so in the meantime I made a glycerin water that I have been spraying on my face before and after my makeup application as a primer/hydrating spray in conjunction with the Mario Badescu facial spray.
Details:
Face: Maybelline Dewy & Smooth (#360), LA Girl Pro conceal in fawn (highlight) &  mahogany/dark cocoa (contour), Banana Dreams setting powder for baking, Beauty Treats blush palette, and  sleek contort kit in deep for my highlight.

Brows: Benefit Ka-brow gel (#5), Colourpop's brow pencil in black n' brown, and La Girl Pro Conceal in Toast
