Tutorial: Valentine's Inspired Look

by - 7:43 AM

Hey loves! Valentines is a week or so away and my birthday is today, but we'll save that for another post. Therefor I thought it would be fitting to start February out with a Valentine's date night inspired look. Honestly, I'm just calling it that because it sounds cool, but you don't have to be boo'd
up to rock this look. It's for everybody. Take yourself on a date or go out with your friends and do you boo, do you.

I really wanted to try out a look with pink since it goes with the theme and who doesn't love pink, right? I purchased the Urban Decay Electric Palette in December when it went on sale at Sephora (still on sale as of today) and I had been waiting for the opportunity to try a new look out with it. The colors are so pigmented and ended up working out great.

I plan on squeezing in another Valentine's inspired look next week, but might just post some photos on my instagram instead of doing a full tutorial. and I really want to have some fun with red. When you think of Valentine's Day what are the colors that come to mind? Red, romance, and roses. Okay, I  did not mean to rhyme but you get me.

I was able to pick up a few new drugstore products to try out at Ulta and on a Walgreens buy one get one free sale they had going on the other week for the Revlon Brand. Two of the products I used in the video which were Revlon Colorstay foundation for normal/dry skin, Ulta full coverage concealer, and NYX dewy finish setting spray. My skin is dry at the moment so I am trying out new products that claim to promote a dewy finish and be specifically for my skin type, we shall see. I plan on doing a full review of the products in the near future after I am able to get some more uses out of them.

In the video I kind of sped through the foundation routine part but that is mainly because I plan on doing a entire video tutorial soon on my foundation routine that way I won't have to always slow it down for that part and I'll be able to spend more time focusing on the eyes and other things.

Details:

Face: Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Cappuccino (normal/dry), Ulta full coverage concealer in deep warm (highlight) & LA Girl Pro Conceal in mahogany/dark cocoa (contour), Banana Dreams setting powder for baking, Beauty Treats blush palette, and sleek contour kit in deep.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
