Review: Is Morphe Worth The Hype Or Nah? (Swatches Included)
So far I have only purchased eyeshadow palettes from the brand but I have heard great things about their brushes and would love to try out some more products in the future. As to what I can speak on, the Morphe palettes.
A few details about the palettes...
The Morphe PRO Makeup palettes retail for $22.99 on their website and if you want even more of a bargain, keep an eye out on Hautelook. I have the app downloaded on my phone and they often go on sale there for a limited amount of time which is how I was able to purchase three of mine for $15.00 each. Can we say major score? Um, yes! I have the 35P palette (Plum), 35OS (whcih I actually gave away in a giveaway), 35O (Color nature glow), and 35C (Multi-color matte).
So are they worth the hype or nah?
After having had my 35C for almost a year and getting some use out of all three, I can say thatI actually like the Morphe brand and the eyeshadow palettes that I have purchased. I find the pigmentation to be good especially for the price and WOC friendly, major plus. I have tried high-end eyeshadow palettes before that were double the price and the color payoff was not as good. I have learned with makeup it is not always spend more get better. You can get nice things that are affordable.
What about the chocolate sistas?
As you will see below with the arm swatches I did, the palettes are WOC friendly which I really appreciate. I skip over a lot of palettes because I know that the pigmentation is not going to show up well on my deeper complexion so I am always glad to know that I don't have to purchase an expensive palette just to get what I am needing. Nobody is out here trying to have a chalky powdery eyeshadow look because that not what is popping in 2017.
Tips...
I would like to add that I use a primer/base anytime I apply eyeshadow and that alone helps to make the colors pop. I use Ulta's matte eye primer, NYX jumbo pencil in milk or black bean, my regular concealer on some days, and wet-n-wild's shimmer eyeshadow primer. No matter which one I use, I always set it with my setting powder to avoid creasing and for an easier blend.
Lets get in to the palettes!
I live for a bold bright eye look so I tend to dabble in those colors more but I do rock the neutral looks when I go out sometimes and the 35O palette is perfect for that. It's a great neutral pallete for every day use in my opinion. There are also a ton of transition shades for my skin tone so I usually grab that for most of my looks.

The 35P palette has to be one of my favorites because I love the way purple and other plum tone colors work with my skin tone. I always get so many compliments anytime I do an eye look using this palette. None of the purples are the same and they literally have every shade of purple represented in this pallet from a shimmery blackened purple to a metallic blue base purple. I use this palette on my New Year's eve inspired look if you want to check it out.

The 35C palette actually retails for $19.99 on the Morphe site. However, they are currently out of stock but I was able to purchase mine about a year ago on Amazon. This was my very first beginner eyeshadow palette and I am so glad I chose this one. It has a little bit of everything which is what I like. I have been able to create a neutral look, smoky eye, and colorful sunset eye all with the same palette. When I go out of town I would feel comfortable enough taking this palette and the 35O if my space happened to be limited because I know I could achieve almost anything between the two.

In conclusion, these are palettes that I recommend for the beginner starting off and the seasoned professional makeup artist who is wanting to add to their collection. There are still so many things that I would like to try out from Morphe and hopefully I will get my hands on some of their popular eyeshadow brushes and review them as well.
Have you tried anything from the brand? If so, I want to know your thoughts on the items you purchased!

For years I wore makeup but it was wasn't until the start of this year that i started to wear eye-makeup. I bought the 35O and I'm glad to hear that I made the right choice! As a beginner it's hard to tell if you're getting value for money as you have nothing to compare it to. Great post and great swatches! Thank you for sharing 💙
